Who do you support and why do you support them?

Why should anyone looking for a team support your favorite?

This thread only pertains to Southern Hemisphere clubs and they can be at any level of rugby union. If you support more than one club, let us know a little bit about each in your own words. There is no format to follow. You don't have to make it super detailed or complicated either, just give us something interesting.

I always wake up early in the mornings. It's annoying. As such, I discovered the Super 14 one day a couple of years ago, when I randomly put on Sky Sports. There where two games one. One was the Hurricanes against somebody (I only remember because Ma'a Nonu smashed somebody for no particular reason off the ball. Sticks in my head, for some reason) and then other game featured the Reds, who had a little-known player called Quade Cooper starting at 10. He dazzled me with the flair with which he played the game and the attacking rugby the team played. Since then, I've tried to follow them, and have got to the point where I'm waking up even earlier to watch their matches. The Cooper I first watched has developed into one of the best players in world rugby, and I quite like the feeling of progress made with the team that I'll continue to support.

1)Waikato, Chiefs Lived in the region for nearly one year. Have family living there. Love the club, atmosphere etc...
2) Every other NZ team not playing the Chiefs
3) Cheetahs: Pretorius, Steenkamp, the twin brothers etc... Really made a good impact on me. Started following them via a friend.

Club- YMP. Stands for Young Maori Players. We play in the Senior Second Division. It is my team and I can say that because I am the captain, and the team is full of brothers and cousins and the atmosphere of playing with your brothers is phenominal. We are much like the Boks, fully physical and dominate every single team we play against with one person certain to leave the field injured and one of our players[usually our No.8] being put in the sin bin. We attract huge crowds at our games and our supporters travel by bus. Only problem is, we don't train, we just turn up 5 minutes before kick off and play with complete passion. No drills or set plays, we just play and there are a few individuals who go alone instead of using team mates. All grunt and no structure is how I like to put it. Have been playing for this team since I was 15 when we were down in the Senior 4th Division and are on a great rise at the moment finishing second this year. Alot of our players get scouted but because the team is so family orientated, no one has ever left apart from one who is currently in Australia playing for the Storm club.

ITM Cup- Hawkes Bay, "The ONLY Bay that wins" I'm a home boy, and it's great to see alot of the players I grew up playing with and against are now playing for the top side in Hawkes Bay. Makes me want to throw in my team and start aiming for the Magpies myself. And who wouldn't like the Magpies the way we play.

Super 15- Hurricanes, a man by the name of Tana Umaga. He's a family friend and is the reason I got into rugby as a wee fulla.
