The future of Aussie full-back Luke Rooney, who was set to join Worcester, is still unclear as Toulon have revealed that they have offered him a new deal.
With Worcester relegated from the Guinness Premiership, question marks have been raised over the contracts of a number of players who have signed contracts for nest season.
"We've made him an offer," Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal told lesite.
"Our priority with Philippe Saint André is to keep the backbone of this team together. We don't want to break up this group and for fantastic dynamic that exists between the players"
Boudjellal also confirmed that the club had given up on signing Shane Williams but were in the market for a French wing.
Meanwhile, Saint-André has confirmed that Jonny Wilkinson and Rooney will start for Toulon in Friday's Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final against Connacht.
