For American viewers, top rugby club competitions are difficult to get into simply because they aren't widely available. If you're like me, you're not going to pay $15 extra per month to watch a small handful of English and Celtic league matches on television.

I'm happy to let you all know that ESPN airs Top 14 matches live online for free. Follow the link below and keep up with the best league in Europe. It may depend on your internet provider, but I haven't known anyone to have an issue viewing the matches so far.

Watch Top 14 on ESPN3

I wanted to post this sooner, but honestly we don't have a lot of American posters ... yet!

Enjoy.

I can't click on the link from work but are they going to broadcast the quarters and semi final as well ? (I'm in the UK and we don't have skysports here ><)

I'm not sure if ESPN3 works for you, but if it does then you should be able to watch the ***le race.

I also found out recently that the Rugby World Cup will be broadcasted primetime on NBC basic television (channel 5 and Universal Sports). This is great news for the sport in the United States because if the NFL is still locked out, rugby will be able to showcase in their time slot. This is apparently NBC's backup plan and might I add a damn good one at that!

The link you gave in your first post leads to a stream ?

It leads to a page for all listed live streaming rugby matches on ESPN3. You can also watch replays of matches. Looking at their website right now, I see both QF matches listed for Friday and Saturday.

Cheers.

It's going to be very hard for Biarritz on Friday. I can't see them winning against Clermont AT Clermont. Players like Lund or Lakafia are starting to become very tired after a very long Top 14 season + H Cup games whereas Clermont played only pool games.

And they also have a better bench.

I don't agree that Clermont have a better bench, but I do agree that Biarritz are tired. It will definitely be difficult, but I think Biarritz will pull it off. I believe it will be a Toulouse v Montpellier finale, but I hope for the best!

Castres has NEVER lost a single game at home this season !

I've bet on a Toulouse v Racing final. We'll see in few weeks :p

Castres may have the gnome, but Montpellier have the power. lol
