A victory for a team against a galaxy of stars......Grenoble showed great teamwork and huge endeavour to down the mighty Stade despite being mauled in the scrum! With almost 70 per cent of possession and territory, no one could say that Grenoble were not value for money or that Stade could very well struggle again this season and be fighting in that dreaded relegation zone.
Tomorrow, (15.00 ko) the top team take on the second (but on same number if points) team when Biarritz face the might that is Toulouse!
In a surprise, for a normally extremely conservative management, BO have selected Dubarry (signed as a second row) at 7 and left Magnus Lund (who is back to his best after long term injury) on the bench.
They have also decided to give Blaauw a run at loose head although, with usual lack of information from BO, we do not know if this is because Synaeghel is injured as Barcella, who is not back anywhere near where he was before severe injury, is again on the bench. Toulouse seem to have near enough their top team out other than the missing Argentinians and, with the weather looking like a cool 20 degrees, it could be a cracker.
Good to see the management giving the young half backs another run and, after last week's performance Barraque, at least, deserves nothing less!!
At 18.30 Racing play Bordeaux, Montplellier v Agen, ASM v USAP and Castres play Bayonne with Mont de Marsan play Toulon in the late evening kick off
