A victory for a team against a galaxy of stars......Grenoble showed great teamwork and huge endeavour to down the mighty Stade despite being mauled in the scrum! With almost 70 per cent of possession and territory, no one could say that Grenoble were not value for money or that Stade could very well struggle again this season and be fighting in that dreaded relegation zone.

Tomorrow, (15.00 ko) the top team take on the second (but on same number if points) team when Biarritz face the might that is Toulouse!

In a surprise, for a normally extremely conservative management, BO have selected Dubarry (signed as a second row) at 7 and left Magnus Lund (who is back to his best after long term injury) on the bench.

They have also decided to give Blaauw a run at loose head although, with usual lack of information from BO, we do not know if this is because Synaeghel is injured as Barcella, who is not back anywhere near where he was before severe injury, is again on the bench. Toulouse seem to have near enough their top team out other than the missing Argentinians and, with the weather looking like a cool 20 degrees, it could be a cracker.

Good to see the management giving the young half backs another run and, after last week's performance Barraque, at least, deserves nothing less!!

At 18.30 Racing play Bordeaux, Montplellier v Agen, ASM v USAP and Castres play Bayonne with Mont de Marsan play Toulon in the late evening kick off

Grenoble almost got the bonus point too, if it hadn't of been for a few handling errors.

Right you are I should have switched the names the other way, but as long as Canal are airing it I will probably find it.

Believe they are or why would this game not be staring like the others at 18.30? I do not subscribe to Canal+ but there are always ways to find the game!!

Just back from the match and what an atmosphere......full house and such noise.....never again Serge take this match to the mausoleum that is San Seb's stadium Anoeta....for the quarters of the H Cup perhaps!!

Like last night the team that played as a team beat the bunch of stars.....again despite being thumped in the scrums (at least until Barcella came on when the tide turned but, by then, BO were hanging on to what they already had).

Thoroughly deserved win ably assisted by Beauxis, rumoured to have been on point of joining us last season, who missed kicks galore and despite so many penalties against us that even the ref ran out of patience and found the yellow card we thought he had lost!!

Bravo to the team but bravo to Barraque, surely the future 10 of France, Bravo to Barcella when he came on and bravo to Aled brew who was magnificent and did not put a foot wrong!!

Top AGAIN.............this is a habit I am not wanting to kick!! The Caritz will be rocking tonight............................

Seemed to be a good atmosphere at San Sebastian when I saw Biarritz play Ospreys in 2010. Sold out match at a near 30,000 ground would have been good for the club's accounts as well.

That was the quarter/semi final (?) of the H Cup and as said maybe for such a match but not a Top 14 where only a few more than the full house at Aguillera today make the effort...................this fixture was at Anoeta for the last two seasons and this beat the s*** out of those for atmosphere (and result)!!

Well played Tony, enjoy while it lasts as you just never know!!!!! This season is going to be the toughest yet with no easy victories and guess who we have next week , dead right Top of the tree BO, we did well last season so we shall see next week, but i think it wil be a tough ask for Montpellier, will have to get Mamuka on the case of Barraque and give him a couple of Georgien cuddles.

You leave our J-PB alone with your foreign imports you!!.......................looking forward to the game and think you will find a different team here than the last few seasons!! They could seriously challenge for top 6 this season and have not missed Yach as yet although having him on the bench would be very helpful!! Back row is so strong that Imanol might only get a look in as he is the club captain!!

Did not see your game against Agen so will have to reserve any comments until next week........................have a good week without too many nightmares!!
