So glad did not make the trip to Paris for the late night kick off tomorrow as BO have thrown in the towel and given this game up!! The team is

Blaauw Heguy Broster
Lund E. Taele
Lund M. Guyot
8- Lakafia (c.)

Lesgourges Peyrelongue

Brew Burotu Gimenez Baby

Haylett-Petty

Genevois Barcella Dubarry Lauret Traille Ngwenya Balshaw Gomez Kodela

The players in italics would not be in a first team and struggle, in some cases this season only, to be on the bench. The Lund brothers are not the same players as yet following serious injuries although Magnus has shown some glimpses.....to field Baby and Burotu in the same back line with someone as small as Gimenz and Perylongue leaves Brew high and dry!! Barraque is not even on the bench......do not tell me we are resting for the H Cup already!!

If we get within 30 points it will only be because Racing do not have a 10 and they may not have a kicker.....first substitute will be on the field well before half time!! Good luck guys but looks to me like the tour to hell....

Bayonne lost 6 35 and Toulouse left at least 20 points on the field as they butchered 4 try opportunities....................good news is that there must be at least two Bayonne players cited (thump on Dusatoir and taking Clerc out in the air and around the neck) which should put them out of the derby next week!! Good to see Toulouse beginning to put some form together after a not very clever start to the season performance wise...despite the money and the high cost players they have attracted, Bayonne are looking like a relegation battle waiting to happen.

Toulon are looking mighty this season and seem to have managed the difficult job of getting a load of "galacticos" to play as a team and Michalak could well prove the singing of the season so good has been when I have seen them..............and that comes from a critic rather than a fan!

All round, Toulon look the best squad for the Brennau although would qualify that have not seen Clermont as yet but their results lead me to believe that they are still getting into their stride. One can only hope that they go backward over the next ten days as we have them in a fortnight...............................................

Stade v Perp was excellent game and Hook was a part of it and was not bad......Racing were disappointing really but a huge effort defensively from the front 9 and DHP at 15 for BO, although guilty of hanging on ot the ball too long (as if he did not trust his fellow backs!!). As predicted the backs were pap (although Brew was denied any ball he did well defensively) and there was never going to be any score from them....only a question as to how long they would hold out but were never tested by the Racing backs. The forwards certainly earned the defensive bonus point that I could not see them getting before the match.
