On recent form and due to their relative positions in the league that will drive selection and desire, I will go for Stade, Bayonne, ASM, MHR, USAP and Racing..........MDM and probably Agen are doomed.

Biarritz, after this match, play USAP and Bordeaux away with Stade at home being their final match and USAP have us at home, Agen away and finish with MHR away BUT are 9 points ahead of us in 7th place and 2 points further behind MHR in 6th.

So, I cannot see us catching USAP, never mind MHR, unless we get four wins out of four and even then it would still be a big ask to finish 7th for a possible H Cup place, if other results fall into place, taking into account the involvement in the Amlin that must now be our priority.

The only real battle left is between USAP and MHR for the final certain H Cup and Barrage place and I wil stick with God and his disciples on that one!!

Bayonne to beat Bordeaux at home thats a big call Tony, Toulouse to beat Racing for obvious reasons and for the same reasons Usap to beat Castres as long as we win at MDM,home win for BO, Clermont and Toulon to beat Stade in Lille. Went to Mamuka's Midol Oscar presentation last night, great to see a true servant of the club given what he deserves, but its really a marketing ploy for all he sponors and beaucoup de Blah Blah, but did manage a couple of beers and the usual petit4's.

A win and move ahead of their opponents in appalling conditions with little real rugby but one clever try sums up the match of last night.......Saracens are really welcome to Bosch who was desperate last night. Every thing he tried, as he does not know about passing enough to try it, came to grief. Why the young and rreturning Couet Lannes was not given a chance to show his talents off the bench at 15 gobsmacked us all!!

Yach was at his commanding best and the maligned (by me!) Baby had his best game for the club with some excellent tackles and two enormous, yet seemingly easy, hoofs from half way for penalties. Broster was also very solid with Syneghael in getting supremecy in the scrum although the rather bloated August was not up to much and his line out throwing in, on a very calm night, was appalling.....retirement beckons not soon enough.

Grenoble were gifted 10 points with their try resulting from at least three mistakes from BO leading to it......and they showed up some real defensive frailities with only limited possession as their line out was also suspect.

Cannot really see this team playing any other way than bish bash bosh with Yachvilli pulling the strings against Gloucester next weekend with perhaps the Gloucester scrum under pressure but, on a dry pitch, cannot see the Gloucester back line failing to spot the frailities and score tries and BO do not, unfortunately, do tries....

Anyone got a line on where I can see the breakdown of tries scored and conceded in the Top 14 club by club this season?

Yes Clermont ran riot against the poor Agen who will now be relegated if Bordeaux manage to get one point from their last three matches!

Wins for MHL, Castres, Bordeaux and Toulouse are the other results today.

Toulouse ended the Racing winning streak with a very spirited recovery leading to a try for Clerc in the last minute with Beauxis (replacing tactically the hapless McAllister after only 20 minutes of the game - the end of his Toulouse career?) hitting a conversion from the touch line in extra time. This kept the wounded Toulouse in third place despite not really showing much in the way of attacking flair throughout the game and probably for some games now....good game though!!

Winners of the weekend must be Castres and Montpellier (who gained against the losing Racing) but not for the 7th placed, USAP, who now have Biarritz as potential outsiders to gain the sought after place (and hoping a French team wins one of the European ***les allowing them H Cup qualification)!

think I'm watching every game this weekend. They all look exciting and full of tries.
I haven't seen a whole lot of Bordeaux-Begles, but what I've seen, damn, there's some srs Rugby there, and the good exciting one. And they have pure quality potential, can upset the big ones and in style.
