The ref (Salem somet) at Racing is having a great game so far and not missed a thing unlike Poite in London who was dire - despite Gaston taking the rip a afternoon!!!

Some surprise results yesterday! I was expecting SF to begin to move up the table, and RM losing at home too - not a good day for Parisian rugby!
Pau will be disappointed with that result, not even getting a bp. UBB, however, are becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Now this afternoon - will gaston be happy? I think he might be! MHR will be hurting after last week's defeat and will also remember another home defeat - to Toulouse!

Great game. 6 tries and very undecided until the end. Doussain just a kick from a draw

Def watched the better games in T14 this weekend, even without our internationals.

Took no less than 6 mths for our home record to finally give. Not a bad record in itself.

We showed a lot of patience to come back from a large point deficit. Our kids Marchand Tolofua Maka & Co are growing and will have learnt a lot from this game. Marchand stood up well against world class opposition.

PS nice derby with our Bordeaux cousin in 2 wks time

Hey Frenchfan you forgot to mention Montpellier and their excellent away win in To lose, yes your kids are ok but they are still very green, i will not bother to mention Garces pityful performance in the last 80 to 89 mins. there was probably 3 or 4 penalties to Montpellier for holding on and offside at the maul.

The clubs that sent their internationals to Cardiff all lost with Stade Français missing 8 internationals, Racing (5) and Stade Toulousain (7)

The said clubs having lost this weekend will for sure field their internationals next weekend - regardless of the upcoming Scotland game. So no rest for the wearies.
Even Fabrice Landreau said he was taking little from his side's win over SF because of the watered down parisian side they had beaten. At least he is honest.
You can tell from this weekend's post-game reactions how the clubs are FED UP with this situation. Even managers from winning sides like Landreau of Grenoble are venting their frustration!

it's not an excuse. Just fact. Not much glory in beating a 2nd string. And it affects the league negatively. But kudos to both sides nonetheless for producing an excellent game.
Like I said even the manager of a winning side like Grenoble said he did not learn much from beating a watered down SF side. And he's right.

Our youngsters get picked because we train them well to intl level. That takes time and skills as opposed to buying a ready-made solution from SA.

Don't expect these 3 clubs to do Noves any favour. He'll be going out again on a limb to Scotland.

the clubs will come round to Noves but it will take time the new Stadium has been more or less thrown out already which is a good thing. There needs to be tons of work before everything is rosey but there are many Presidents in the TOP 14 who do want to see changes and that France progress in World rugby. We will see who get elected when it comes around, and see if the changes happen
