Hey thats my job!!

Fairly easy week for the bug guns nd clash of the round must be at Castres against Racing so surprised that that is not one of the featuered TV games (well on Premier Sports in the UK anyway),

We have Stade France in Paris and new management may well give us a little bit of a fillip to give a good defensive performance enabling Yach to do some kicking but cannot see much else in the offensive unless the ball gets out to the wings?

I would expect ASM, ST, AB, CO MHL and RCT to win with a draw for us in Paris

Sorry Tony but thought you had already hit the Xmas booze and still sleeping!!!!!!!
Wins for Castres, Toulon, Grenoble, Clermont, Paris, Bayonnne and of course Montpellier to beat USAP but that will be no easy feat, Mamuka still suspended till 1st Jan, but at training yesterday Alex Tulou fit and ready so the back row will possibly be a winner with Fu fu and Jonnie Beattie, and Alex Bias on the bench Paul Bosch also on the bench he earned that last week against Cardiff, fairly strong team but nothing is easy at Aime Giral.

Stade to beat BO?

I thought you were a mate, how could you possibly believe that result is possible!!

Nothing to do with friendship old boy!! just reality......
Oh that is understood....it is onlly loyalty that made me go for the draw!!

This is the team - Barcella, August, Broster, Lund E. Taele Dubarry Lakafia Harinordoquy (c.) Yachvili, Peyrelongue Brew Traille Baby Ngwenya Balshaw
Replacements Genevois Blaauw Lauret Lund.M Lesgourgues Barraque Burotu Synaeghel

Not going to set the world on fire and with 10/12/13 as selected and Burotu to come on.............as said earlier, only way to win is the scrum and Yach to boot and hope Baby/Buroto can hold a Stade leg long enough to allow someone to make the tackle!!

Broster making first appearance after injury and 149 minutes of playing time......interesting to see how long he lasts this time!! With him, and ancient August who just about breaks into a trot and a sub par Barcella it is not a threatening front row!! Would have preferred Lauret to Dubarry but Thibault gives height at the line out and a bit of fire!!

I have say it is hard to gainsay Gaston on this one......................

Brave and hugely energetic Bordeaux performance earned them a bonus point against an understrength ASM team who did not play that well....just enough to win especially when James came on to replace an ineffective Skrela - to thwart Bordeaux for who Camille Lopez at 10 was again brilliant.......Come on Serge, he is only up the road and he would make one hell of a signing!!

Hines may have suffered a serious shoulder injury................

does Tony and Serge not know that Camille Lopez will be Catalan next season, while most of USAP are coming to Montpellier. Must admit that while Skrela is not wanted by Clermont next season, there are no big queues of teams waiting to sign him next season never was any good his sister is much better she plays for Montpellier/Lattes and France at Basket!!!!

Skrela.....now there is a thought!!

Thought you were bit uppitty about teams that buy their way to success a few years ago? Seems MHL have joined the ranks of thr Stade, Toulon and Racing as nouveau riche!!

Good luck I say.....

I've never rated Skrela that highly. Apart from during Toulouse's 2010 Heineken Cup winning run where he was good against Stade Français in the QF and Leinster in the SF. But even that was probably him just benefiting from getting an armchair ride from the pack.

I was very surprised Clermont bothered to sign him in the first place, and then start him above Brock James when he first joined.

However he has been pretty pants for Clermont despite having good players around him and eventually Clermont realised that Brock James is better after the Saracens QF last season. Apparently Clermont are looking at former All Black Mike Delany as a replacement, do Kiwis rate him? Would he be capable of flourishing behind a strong pack and getting the best out of the backline whilst not having the goal kicking responsibilities?

Believe Skrela was signed as James had lost so much confidence after his well documented collapse against Leinster that they needed an urgent replacement and he was available.....do not think it would have been too different but he has had more than his fair share of injuries? If he had half the skill of his Father though.......................

Did you see him play? I thought you were more on the young side.
My parents' contraception was still working when he was playing, so I never saw him.
And we all know of his contribution as a coach, maybe his son will get some of that.

Funnily enough I remember him playing back in the 1970's as he is just a little younger than me!! I seem to remember pictures of him after a 5N game sitting in the dressing room fag in hand but that just be my memory!!

I also remember the 1999 RWC Final, which I believe was his swansong as coach, as my second visit to the then new Millenium stadium following the losing semi finalist match the night before..................Oh those were the days!!

Just to say that BO apparently wanted to hold Broster back until mid January but have had to rush him back early...............hope not a mistake!

Nyanga has gotten away with probably the most blatant of tip tackles and will have to be cited and is looking at a significant ban.................Toulouse having dificulty in putting away a Grenoble side which is proving the stadium des Alpes is a fortress...not even Biarritz culd win there!!

Good to see Valery Courrant back and fit again after losing half of his mouth in scoring a try in October!

Doussain and Bezy playing hinge and looking best pair for ST for soome time...............

Looked a lot like Mealamu/Umaga on Brian O'Driscoll. It's an event that is seldom mentioned in this forum.

Kind of a boring match though.

I agree.....boring as hell!

Medard is having a terrible time since he came back...nothing is going rght for him and his passing is unbelievablly bad!

Servat has been magnificent and he and Courrant are vying for MoM................

That was ballsy from FCG. Leading by 6, you usually kick those balls away! They tried it and it worked, 15-9 for them now.
