The closed roof does see to add something extra as well, kinda like it's keeping all the excitement within the stadium. Some of my favourite experiences there have been Wales v New Zealand in 2008 with the whole standoff after the Haka, the atmosphere was electric for the entire game after that! Went to the game vs Australia in 08 too, that was a great atmosphere too, especially since Wales won a tight game! Also one of the things that really gives the Millenium Stadium an awesome reputation is it's location, both rugby and football fans have said they think it's fantastic because it's slap bang in the middle of the city centre, with pubs and shops all around! I love to go into Cardiff on a match day even if I don;t have tickets, simply to soak in the brilliant atmosphere on the streets. Don't agree with Logorrhea about the stadium having 'restricted visibility seats', I've been to a hell of a lot of games there, and been seated all over the place, and never once felt like I couldn't see what was going on.

Also, a question for you Andy, did you go to the Cardiff Uni v Swansea Uni Varisty match in the Stadium earlier this year? I had my concerns about the match being held in a 74,000 seater stadium, when it would end up being mostly empty. However, I was completely wrong and the 15,000 Swansea and Cardiff students made the atmosphere simply incredible! Probably one of best atmospheres I've had there (did help that I'd had a fair few pints and Swansea won ), and I've heard it's being held in Cardiff and the Millenium again next year. Was a little bit gutted that it won't be in Swansea this year, but it's still going to be brilliant taking over the capital city again with the Green and White army .

[QUOTE="Thingimubob, post: 431499, member: 20956"] Great to see another Swansea Uni student on here :D Personally, I love the atmosphere of the Millenium Stadium, there's just nothing quite like it in my opinion! The closed roof does see to add something extra as well, kinda like it's keeping all the excitement within the stadium. Some of my favourite experiences there have been Wales v New Zealand in 2008 with the whole standoff after the Haka, the atmosphere was electric for the entire game after that!
