Hey guys,

Well was looking in to buying a new tablet and well I was just enquiring about which would be the best to buy for value (and which to avoid).
I'm bit reluctant to pay over the top for an iPad but can anyone reccommend which tablets are good value for money.

From what I understand (never owned a tablet myself), avoid the 'too good to be true' cheap Chinese cr*p you see everywhere. The Asus range, such as the Transformer and Prime are meant to be up there with the best, as is the Blackberry Playbook. I believe Asus are about to refresh their range with updated hardware, so it might to worth checking when that is and holding out a little if you like the look of their stuff.

Ultimately, Apple probably offer the best hardware (best screen for sure), but you pay for it. This will be changing soon, with companies likely to match or beat the high resolution screen the iPad has, and offer an upgrade in terms of hardware as well.

I may look into getting a tablet when the price is low enough. I know I'll only use it for internet and wasting time on addictive games, so not worth spending a lot on.

I've heard good things about the Blackberry playbook, but also that there's not many apps out there for it (compared to the android ones an (especially) the iPad).

HTC Flyer is supposed to be good.

Any price ranges on them seen blackberry one alright it seemed ok

I have very little expertise on tablets being more of a netbook man, but I've always advised staying away from apple. You get some flash looking stuff, but you pay about 3 or 4 times the market price for components.

I love my iPad they are superb, and worth every penny. But it depends what you want from the tablet...

Just the basics like few good games, music and video play etc but one that isn't like a brick and as Feic said I don't really want one that in an inflated price.
