Super 10's?

Being set up by the same promoters who do the Auckland 9's and represent Joe Parker.

At first glance it seems like a decent idea, thoughts?

Actually, 10s is a concept that has been around as long as 7s has, it not just some new cooked up shorter version of the game. For example, The COBRA Tens is an international tournament that has been held every year since 1967, nine years before the first Hong Kong Sevens .

There are in fact official 10s variations in the current Laws of Rugby Union (starts on Page 182 of the current Law book).

However, I would not like to see Tens as an additional tournament to the existing rugby season. Instead, I like the idea of replacing the current series of meaningless pre-season matches with a two day tournament, the location of which could be rotated around the franchises on a country by country basis..

Not really. I wasn't actually replying to rats, it was just a general comment that I modified from a comment I made on the article page. I almost always quote people when replying directly to them.

I like the idea, could just replace one of the four preseason games we've had, would prefer it if it moved around though rather than just in Brisbane. Not sure if travel for it but would see it at home
