Awesome game, Stormers looked great except for the odd scrum penalty and Deon Fourie's lineout throwing (he's try was amazing, the pace he has and he's a hooker)

Grant kicked perfectly, I think there was one kick that didn't go exactly through the middle. Habana once again wasted a few good chances.

O'Connor's try was sublime though, he's very talented, the tall guy with the long blonde hair (his name evades me) played pretty well too.

MOTM: Andries Bekker

DHL Stormers - Tries: Jaque Fourie (2), Deon Fourie (2), Jean de Villiers, Andries Bekker. Conversions: Peter Grant (6). Penalties: Grant (3).

Western Force - Try: James O` Connor. Conversion: O` Connor. Penalty: O` Connor.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stormers go undefeated at home all season after watching that.

Stormers won easy. Our backline played very well, and were still outplayed by the Stormers backs.

O'Conner is in good form and that try was typical of him (slicing between tiny gaps in the defence).

Apparently a few of the Force players were not 100% (food poising or something). But i'm not sure if any of them were in the first XV.

Lord-Hope, we (Stormers) head to the Shark tank next and then play the Reds at home the week after. These two games are critical; Reds and Sharks are both competitors for top spots especially the Sharks with topping your conference being all important. So winning either of these would be like an 8 point swing against main contenders (also, we are due a win against you guys LOL).

I have to say one couldn't ask for better timing; the Sharks are coming off of a tough tour with two losses at the end of it and though I am sure they will be hurting to get back to winning ways I cannot think otherwise than that we will be the team coming into the match fresher and ith more confidence. Still going to be tough at Kings Park! Also, great as the Reds are playing I can't see them beat us at Newlands where they will struggle to get any form of go-forward ball; I am sure their backline will struggle with slow ball under pressure and I can't see their forwards providing them with anything other than that if the Stormers pack pitch up again.

Stormers Saders will be evens more epic if the form of both teams continue !! Best defensive side that just showed they just as good in attack vs the best attacking side theta no slouch in defense !! Both Form teams at the moment along with the Reds.

Can't wait for the Stormers - Crusaders match and I will definately pitch at Newlands for the fixture.

I reckon the Crusaders won't find us as naive on defence and hopefully Grant can keep up his great goal kicking form as Potgieter's boot is the main reason the Sharks got closed out IMO. Offloads and stab kicks will be the main threat but I am sure our boys will be ready for it; might even score an interception try off it.

BUT!!! there is a hell of a lot of rugby to be played between now and then.... and the Reds fixture is just as mouth watering, especially with them picking things up from a rather dissapointing start to the season.
