Telegraph: SRU plan talks on new side.
An Aberdonian consortium led by Graham Burgess with backing from billionaire Yank and rugby fanatic Roy Carver, want to set up a new Magners League side based out of Stirling's Forthbank Stadium.
The SRU (being the fools that they are) initially pooh poohed the idea but under increasing fire for demolishing the fictitious ML side Border Reivers last month, they'll be wanting to give Scotland back its 3rd Rugby side.
Basically, if the Burgess consortium manage to get hefty capital funding behind it (and with Roy Carver, money might indeed be no object), the SRU could be persuaded to release Magners League and HEC money previously held for Borders.
