Stephen Ferris Cleared

It was a definite penalty. I have no idea what the Irish commentator was talking about when he said it wasn't, and Eddie Butler quite rightly read the rules to him and set him straight. What possessed him to tackle like that, at that stage of the game and in that area of the field is beyond me.

A ban would have been very harsh though. He broke the horizontal but he hardly endangered the player. Common sense has prevailed for once!

2 disciplinary decisons the rugby world agrees with.

Well shiver me timbers

It was the only decision to take as he really didnt do that much wrong did he apart from give a dubious penalty away at best.

Well I wouldn't say dubious. I'm a neutral and even if he didn't fully release on the tackle it had the look of a spear about it.

A penalty- definitely. A yellow card- definitely not.
