Today the venues for the 2012 Test matches played in South Afica, were announced. South Africa will play a total of 6 matches at home. These matches consist of 3 in the Tri-Nations and a Test Series against England. What bugs me a bit is the disregard of the Free State area. Port Elizabeth, Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Soweto and Pretoria will be the venues. Especially with Pretoria, Soweto and Johannesburg being so close to each other, 1 could have been swapped for the Free State Stadium.
