It's very much an American thing to keep going with a show until the last penny is squeezed out of it. In recent years Dexter, House, The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Office etc. spring to mind. It peaked about season 4 and held up that standard for about 8 years, which was good going, but like all good things...

South Park is still delivering gems. I'm glad they're keeping it going. It's a helluva lot better than the new simpsons which are arguably the worst thing on television at the moment. Imagine they had just stopped at season 10? Woulda died as the funniest show ever made. Now there's been more bad episodes of the simpsons than there has been good.

House is pretty good again, I almost didn't finish season 6 and 7 but season 8 is pretty damn great so far.

On topic: South Park is good, I like it occasionally but until 2016? Sheesh.
