That's a fair point and could be a factor in selecting Willis, but in Marchant's case, Stade probably won't make the play offs.

OTOH, 13 is a pretty competitive spot and after Ringrose and Henshaw (who are obvious choices), I don't think there is much between Marchant, Slade and Jones. I personally, think Marchant is the best out of the three in terms of quality and consistency.

If Racing are in the play-offs, it might spare Andy Farrell the dilemma of whether to pick Owen or not
