Former Wallabies flanker George Smith has confirmed he will leave Toulon to take up an 800 000 Euro (US$1.16 million) deal in Japan with the Sanyo Wild Knights.

Big Big money ...then again with his reputation you could expect that.. how old is he at this stage ?
 
Christ, thought he was mid-late 30s

Lot of money, but he's one of the greats, so why not?

The Wild Knights have an excellent squad and this should only improve their chances for a repeat.
