OK so I've always played on the wing (apart from a brief stint at outside center) but I'm curious about where else someone of my build might play

I am:

6'1"
70kg (11st) though I'm putting on more weight to bulk up a bit
I run 100m on the ball 11.5seconds (same as off, i don't use my upper body when I sprint due to my weird running style)

I just wondered if I would fit in anywhere else at all?

Any thoughts? Thanks :)

I've seen guys with a similar build playing half back, 1st 5 and fullback but you've really got to make sure that your tackling, passing and kicking are up to snuff before making the switch to any of these positions as not much is required of wingers at the club level(probably why you're considering the switch in the first place).

Anywhere in the backline if you have the ability, just stay out of the pack. But with the info you've given I'd stick to the back three unless you're willing to bulk up a good bit.

Well in the last 18 months or so I've put on 2.5st and grown on;y bout an inch and a half, so I can commit to bulking up, but thats just been through eating more, I don't know how to do it for muscle gain :(

The issue is playing 15s, as Barbarian Horde pointed out, wingers don't really do much at the level I hope to play :( It becomes all just chasing down and defending

If you want to be getting into the game more moving into the centre is definitely a good idea, you'll see a lot more of the ball and a lot more physical action. There's a lot on the forums about putting on mass and strength training, if I was you I'd have a look through and if it was something you wanted to commit to and work hard at you'd definitely make a good centre - especially 13 with pace like yours.

i have played centre all my life and if you do not use your upper body strenght you will be a useless centre.
