The Sharks will be coming off a much needed bye. More importantly they will have Ruan Pienaar back from injury.

They will also be dead keen on stamping their authority back on the tournament having picked up a wobble going into the bye.

Match detail
We are waiting for the kick off. Stefan Terblanche kicks off and the match is underway.

2.00: The Sharks get a free kick so they choose to scrum which is a confident call with the Highlanders pack being what it is.

4.00: The Sharks win the scrum and run the ball to within a metre. They Highlanders however soak up the pressure and boot the ball downfield. The Sharks attack again but handling errors let them down.

6.00: There must have been a problem with Ruan Pienaar's return as Francois Steyn is on and playing at 10.

8.00: Sharks No.8 Ryan Kankowski has a busting run, the Sharks recycle and then Kankowski has another run - he comes close but the Highlanders give away a penalty so Rory Kockott takes the kick for posts and slots it.

11.00; The Highlanders swing the ball - not at pace - across the field and Jason Rutledge is there to score a try which comes as a surprise and against the run of play.

12.00: Matthew Berquist takes the conversion and slots it.

17.00: JP Pietersen breaks and takes Kankowski goes with him and then the support comes in Steven Sykes who scores the first try for the Sharks which Kockott converts.

21.00: Kankowski has another run down the line showing some pace but the defence gets back.

24.00: The Sharks attempt the drop goal it bounces out and then Steven Sykes catches the ball and then the Sharks attack again. Highlanders hold them out.

26.00: Mathew Berquist drops the ball as the Highlanders try to clear at the back of the scrum and Jacques Botes pounces on the ball to score the next try. Rory Kockott slots the conversion.

31.00: It's all the Sharks as they attack - attack - attack. The Highlanders are struggling to get their hands on the ball.

33.00: Jacques Botes gets blown up for a penalty so the Highlanders choose to kick for posts. It's probably the only other time that the Highlanders have been in the Sharks 25 other than when they scored the try.

35.00: Matthew Berquist takes the kick and slots it.

38.00: Fetuu Vainikolo sees a gap and fires through the Sharks - he kicks up and long but JP Pietersen just beats him.

40.00: The Highlanders get their best attacking spell as Thomson breaks, the support is slow but it comes and they recycle and Jimmy Cowan busts over the line to score the try.

41.00: Matthew Berquist takes the conversion but misses.

We have a game on our hands boys and girls. It's half time.

The half time score is Sharks 17 Highlanders 15

The second half is underway.

41.00: Bowden attempts a drop goal but misses badly.

45.00: Francois Steyn seems to be intent on playing the ball down in Highlanders territory this half.

48.00: John Smit comes off. Jean Deysel comes on for blood to Jaques Botha.

51.00: The Sharks swing the ball off a ruck and they knock on. Instead of a scrum the ref calls a penalty to the Sharks so Rory Kockott kicks and slots it.

56.00: Andries Strauss comes off for Ruan Pienaar so Frans Steyn moves to centre. The Sharks get a penalty awarded to them so Rory Kockott takes the shot and slots it.

61.00: Jean Deysel comes back on after getting some attention for a possible broken nose.

66.00: Kankowski and Pietersen have a lovely run down the wing passing the ball between each other but Thomson gets back to cover.

69.00: The Sharks work the ball to within 2m. After an extended and slow ruck period they knock on.

73.00: The Sharks drive over the line and look like they might have scored a try. We go upstairs and check. Ball is held up.

74.00: Daniel Bowden gets shown a yellow card for a high tackle so the Highlanders will finish with 14 men.

75.00: Rory Kockott plants a punch on Adam Thomson which earns him a RED card. The Sharks will finish with 14 men too.

80.00: The hooter sounds and the Highlanders run the ball but they boot the ball up and out. The referee calls us back for a penalty and Keegan Daniel gets sent to the bin with a yellow card. The Highlanders will kick for posts to pick up a losing bonus point - possibly.

83.00: Israel Dagg takes the kick and misses. Terblanche boots it out.

What a great punch by Kockott, many professional boxer only dreams about landing such a punch, Adam Thomson literary didn't knew what hit him!

Yellow card for that "spear" tackle by Keegan Daniel was a bit harsh
