In the week that Pro 2 have announced that, following their big TV deal, the "weekend" will start next season on a Thrusday with one match in the evening and the balance of matches on the Friday evening, and stuff the spectators who want to travel, it was a good day for Biarritz......but only if they end their losing streak and beat 15th placed Bourgoin in the only outstanding fixture of round 26.

Following another away loss by Perpignan, I think we can congratulate Pau on their championship and promotion for, with just four matches left, they are sixteen points ahead and just cannot see them losing that lead even if mathematically possible!!

Despite losses of Mont de Marsan (to Pau) and Aurillac (to Colomiers) the top three are now three points ahead of Albi (who also lost) and a further point up on 7th placed Biarritz who will probably lose any chance of the play offs if they lose today!!

Massy, courtesy of a defeat at the hands of their relegation rivals Dax, look doomed now being 6 points behind Bourgoin (biarritz's opponents at home today) and a further point beheind Narbonne and Dax.

Beating Pau at home only to lose in Narbonne, such typical USAP results this season. They really have to make sure they'll play the semi at home.

Yeah you do not want USAP to have to come to Biarritz who won 40 nil today against top class opposition!!!!!!

Perpignan is the best team besides Pau imo. I think they'll join Section Paloise in Top 14!

Cant wait to see Perpignan back in the top. Boy do I miss those trips chez les Catalans.
