So the "superior" Top 14 has been suspended whilst they compete in some other competition but, fear not, Pro 2 is still here and there are some cracking games this weekend !!
We start with Beziers (9th) who take on Massy (13th) without, again, the indomitable Remy Martin who, after injury sustained in a match against Narbonne earlier this season, has finally had to call time on his playing career but maybe he can return to one of his former clubs who have been in turmoil recently........ cannot see past Beziers winning this one.
Tarbes (12th), after winning three of their last five matches are hosts to Bourgoin (16th) who have lost four out of their last five and are heading down.
Carcassonne (11th) take on the victors over Biarritz last week, Aurillac (5th), in what could be a great game on the basis of points scored (384/307) and conceded (399/302) by the two teams so far this season. But with 7w1L home record against 5w2L1d, it has to be Carcassonne and I will be cheering for them after last week!!!
Leaders Pau, with their 100% record at home, take on Narbonne (14th) who have lost three of their last five games and only one won once on the road this season
Montauban (8th) (with 6W/2L) host Dax (15th), who have lost all eight away matches this year, with every expectation of another win.
Of course, the biggest game of the week is Biarritz, unfortunately outplayed last week and obviously with a poor referee, in 4th place against Albi (3rd place) and will be seeking to avenge their 34-16 away defeat earlier in the season. I, for one, can see no other result than a startling victory for the home team!!!
Mont de Marsan (6th), who are unbeaten at home, host Agen (7th) who have only won once out of eight attempts and both have lost three of their last five games. Hard to see past MdM...........
Finally, Colomiers (10th) who have won 5 and lost 2 matches at home host USAP (2nd) who have only won once out of seven attempts on the road and one can only hope that they do not add to that this weekend!!!
