PREM 25/26 - Round 3

Coming off the back of 2 encouraging performances i won't get carried away, even with their injuries this Bristol team is Dangerous and our defence can be abit shakey against constant fast attacks like we saw in that first half vs Saints.

Still we have good team and confidence will be high so I can't wait for this one. Wonder if they will throw ikitau and Hooper straight in to the 23.

Derby Weekend in Scorigami History

Sale vs Newcastle: Sale have 4 wins over Newcastle by Scorigami, none since 2010, where they won 35-18. On the other hand, Newcastle have 7 wins, the last coming in January 2005.

Bristol vs Exeter: The Bears have 2 Scorigami wins over Exeter, both occurring last season. A 40-35 win at Ashton Gate and a 52-38 triumph in Devon in March 2025. Exeter also have a pair of Scorigami wins, 38-34 in 2017 and 50-14 in October 2022.

Northampton vs Leicester: The Saints have 5 Scorigami wins over Leicester, including a 14-0 win in December 2003. The Tigers have 11 Scorigami wins over their East Midlands rivals and there has been 1 Scorigami draw, 15-all in March 98.

Bath vs Gloucester: Bath have 11 Scorigami wins over Glos, the last 3 (2015, 2023 and 2024) reaching a combined 150 points. The Cherry and Whites have 5 Scorigami wins, the last being a 64-0 hammering in April 2022

Harlequins vs Saracens: Quins have 5 Scorigami wins over Sarries, scoring more than 30 points in all 5. Harlequins have 8 Scorigami wins in the rivalry, and there was an 8-8 on Boxing Day 2004.

Starting XV:
15. Joe Carpenter, 14. Tom Roebuck, 13. Rob du Preez, 12. Marius Louw, 11. Arron Reed, 10. George Ford, 9. Gus Warr; 1. Bevan Rodd, 2. Luke Cowan-Dickie, 3. Asher Opoku-Fordjour, 4. Ben Bamber, 5. Hyron Andrews, 6. Ernst van Rhyn ©, 7. Tristan Woodman, 8. Sam Dugdale.

Replacements:
16. Nathan Jibulu, 17. Simon McIntyre, 18. James Harper, 19. Tom Burrow, 20. Ethan Caine, 21. Raffi Quirke, 22. Tom O'Flaherty, 23. Sam Bedlow

I know other sides have it worse, but it does suck that we've got our entire starting, and bench, backrow out - so we're starting a guy with zero starts and have a hooker covering from the bench
Also because we didn't recruit anyone over the summer we've got our entire second row stocks in the 23 - doesn't really leave much room for resting knocks

Interesting to see Benitez-Cruz drop straight into the 23. Could be an exciting signing.

Yeah, looking forward to seeing him get a start tbh, just wish it was under better circumstances - maybe with DDP at 8 (rate Dugdale, obviously, but he's a 6/7 realistically)
Without being mean, a home game vs. Newcastle is still among one of the easier debuts could’ve got. Gordon is a decent opponent though.

Can't wait until that backline has Len Ikitau at 12.
