Crusaders are facing legal action from the Rugby League Players Association over missing pension payments claims.
It comes after the Welsh club failed to explain to them why wage deductions from eight overseas players have not been paid into pension plans as agreed.
The RLPA say the problem dates back to before last year's change of ownership.
"The money has been deducted from the wages and not put into any pension fund," sports secretary Geoff Burrow of general union GMB who run RPLA, said.
"When the pension provider needed the right paperwork to satisfy Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs, the previous owners were never forthcoming.
