***le makes no sense but, what player are you most worried about your team facing in the group stages of the RWC.

For me it's either Digby Ioane or James O'Connor. I can imagine them running rings around Earls or Fitzgerald, if he's picked(hopefully not).
I'd guess most of the Irish will say Quade Cooper but, even though he's more flashy, I think Sexton is equally effective as him and from what I've seen of Cooper this year under pressure (vs Force R1, Brumbies R16 and Hurricanes) he doesn't perform at all.
If Ireland do let Cooper do what he wants he'll be very dangerous indeed.

Stop dissing Fitzgerald he's strong defensively and that's something that's not really subject to form. Also one of them will play 11 probably Ioane so he'd be against Bowe who can deal with him. However Ioane isn't on the wing to much as he loves the inside balls from Cooper and he usually comes inside with the ball anyway.

Cooper yes Sexton is effective but that doesn't make Cooper suddenly not a threat. Also I think he's most dangerous counter-attacking from fullback. So I'm most scared of him and Beale and if Mitchell is fit him. Oh and Tomas O''Leary he is incredibly dangerous to Ireland's hopes if he is selected.

I never said Cooper wasn't a threat.

I just said that IMO he isn't much better than Sexton and often crumbles under pressure, soooooooooo maybe read the entire comment before posting? It could come in handy. Also why do you love Fitzgerald so much I just said I hope he wasn't picked ahead of Earls, just like the rest of the country

Dan Carter.

Yes Carter will pose a HUGE threat to England in the pool stages. :p

How does he crumble under pressure did you also watch Reds vs Saders? Also Aus couldn't beat New Zealand in the last 3 nations then suddenly Cooper can play and Hong Kong happens. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo maybe stop being yourself.

I gave examples of where I saw it happen. I haven't said once he's not a good player, just that I don't think he is Australia's biggest threat and he can quite easily be shut down.

Have you not noticed how everything starts with him as well as being a brilliant runner he's also a fantastic distributor. Something you should learn to do.:D

That'll teach me to read the first post

I don't know then, the Lamont brothers, Max Evans, the Leicester-based Argentinians (don't rate Contemponi one bit, he's been s**t since leaving Leinster)

I'd say Camacho is going to be a huge threat, especially if he runs at Banahan, Tindall or Hape with any regularity. Don't reckon any of them could get hold of him unless he specifically ran into their arms.

What's with the Irish love with Australian backs? It's rampant lately.

For me It's Ed Fairhurst. I just hope he leaves someone in the AB's 22 left capable of some kind of career after rugby.

If he plays, Contemponi.

Really? He´ll start as he is captain but I´m not sure that he should. Fernández at 12 is a better bet but he´ll be on the bench.

I can´t say Contepomi has been so good this season. A great try vs London Irish but overall well down on form. If England play Hape then it should be interesting. Assuming the Pensacola training goes well and Argentina can actually have time together, Contepomi should really take him to school.

The Scot´s don´t scare me at all. Great players out wide who are not used given the rubbish options at flyhalf.

The guy who could be dominant for England is Croft. But again, not so worried about him. More so with the 9-10 combo of Youngs and Flood but France shut them down so again not so worried.

Ashton should be the guy to be affraid of. Will be interesting for sure.

to be fair it was only because Carter went off that cooper had a chance to preform , until then he was **** the whole tri-nations ( when playing NZ)
him as well as being a brilliant runner he's also a fantastic distributor.
he is also a doormat so when we send ferris/O'Brien/wallace/heaslip up his channel enough , Ireland should be able to crumble him and take his "fantastic" skills out , seeing he should be dead by the end of the match
I agree he will be easily shut down so stop talking him up and starting arguments you wee ****

Again, to me it just seems that every team I support is that one team that cocks up, like Aberdeen will be the first team to lose to (insert scottish club here), when said team is on a 15 match losing streak. Likewise there have been 3 seasons in the last 7-8 years that an opposition player has gone half the season without scoring, plays us and then BAM, hat-trick! Aberdeen would get some mightily decent results, beating Celtic at home in the Scottish Cup etc..., then we come up against 1st/ lower division opposition, and get humped. Type in Aberdeen vs. Sigma Olomuc.
Scotland losing to Wales in the Six Nations, Wales had won pittance in a year, yet they beat us quite comfortably.
We have a decent 2010, play NZ and get nearly half a century racked up against us. How we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against Wales last year still confounds me.
That niether of the Scottish clubs were the first to lose against Treviso/ Aironi was I feel just because of the fixture list

I don't trust out of form players/ teams. Especially players that would play a pivotal role in the game, hence if he plays, Contemponi
