anyone into photography?

What are you using as a camera (be it SLR, point & shoot, phone or Bridge), and what editing software do you use?

Also post your flikr if you feel like it.

Got quite into photography during uni (mostly sports, which I started to get into whenever I was injured, which was a lot), but after I graduated I only used my camera once (when I went to Rome) so eventually it got sold - want to get back into it, but camera's are pricey.

Had a Nikon DSLR (3100 or something), standard lens it came with, a decent zoom lens and a macro I'd rob off my dad when he wasn't looking, and then used photoshop.

Some stuff from when I was in Uni on here:

I use a D3100 as well, bought it for my birthday after my son was born, have the stock lense, a 35mm (crop frame so gives me about the same as 50mm) and a 55-200mm that i bought in America.

Some really nice photo's in there mate, really like the Harbour pics, is that a really long exposure to get the Sea milky?

Yeah! I saw a load of photos online of rivers etc. that looked like they were made of smoke so fancied a go. Took about 100 photos of which about 5 weren't a blurry mess

Never had a fancy SLR - never used it enough. Used it mainly while at Uni down at the Rosebowl for cricket matches. Had a Panasonic Lumia that I used

Its something I may get back into in the future

Cheers. Found some old ones on my old camera I might add later

Don't have the money for it, but love photography.

My late mother used to be an aerial photographer back in the 60's, laying down in the bottom of a light aircraft and taking photo's through a 'hole in the floor'.

The development of digital has made the artform a hell of a lot easier these days though. Also isn't as exciting as it used to be, waiting for the film to be developed, wondering what kind of weird things had happened to completely use up that roll of film you put in the camera before going out.

I lost over 4,000 digital photo's due to a virus, which was quite heartbreaking, but have managed to take some surprisingly good ones just using a basic HTC phone.

Favourite of which is this one (reservoir in Cardiff).

Don't have a fancy camera myself. Have a Panasonic Lumix FZ48 DSLR. The auto focus is brilliant as is the Lumix lens. Basically I like it as it works brilliantly when I point it at fast moving animals, buffalo, elephants, lions etc.

I'd love a more sophisticated DSLR though
