Ospreys flanker James King will undergo plastic surgery to repair an ear that was left hanging off after a freak incident during his side's recent victory over Cardiff Blues.

"Friends, Ospreys, Countrymen, lend me your ears...

*stares in horrified way*

Ok... you can have it back now... ewwww..."

Poor guy, hope we'll see him again soon. Best of luck.

I heard the commentators say that he was being rushed to hospital for a cut. Didn't expect anything like this tbh. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary whilst watching. Good luck to the bloke, he's got alot of potential.

I saw this happen once to a boxer on Friday Night Fights here in North America, it just hung there for a few moments until the ref noticed it I wasn't even sure if the boxer knew himself. Fight was obviously immediately stopped, its a pretty rare injury.

Sounds horrible. He had an outstanding game a few weeks ago against Munster, so hope he has a speedy recovery and get back out there and can continue developing into the tidy player he easily could be.

He now beats Bazil for the ***le of 'least amount of ear'.
Get well soon! Looking forward to seeing more of him.
I take it he is now seen as a blindside and not a second row? Doesn't really have the size for SR.

Happened in one of my schools matches to out hooker a few years ago..pretty sickening.

But wishing him a speedy recovery and a happy new ear.
