Ospreys to decide on White citing

Ospreys will examine television footage before deciding to cite England and Leicester prop Julian White for alleged eye-gouging in the Heineken Cup.

The Welsh side claimed some of their players had marks around the eyes after Saturday's 15-9 win over Leicester.

"Apparently, there is some footage," said Ospreys head coach Sean Holley.

"The evidence is quite clear. I think we have a duty to eradicate this from our game. If it warrants a citing, we will certainly do it this time."

Well the Ospreys can "bring it to the commissioners attention" a la Graham Henry to Quinny in the AIs. Although by making a public statement like this you can bet the ERC will be already investigating and the Ospreys can say they didn't report him.

From watching the match it looked like Hibbard claimed Kayser was gouging, not White. :huh:

However, it probably was Kayser. I mean, he's French, and they have gouging down to a fine art.

Martin Corry is a f***ing legend. Always had England's best interests at heart. 1) hurting Welshmen 2) being an alibi for an England player and 3) getting in trouble after he retired from internationals.

To be honest It's just another reason to dislike the Ospreys, not that they are in short supply Although I like Tommy Bowe, so I have been cheering for the Ospreys a lot more this season.

No it was the press who said to the players they believed it was White, and then the Ospreys acted upon this after the players had said there had been gouging but they were unsure who it was!
