McLeod off to France, Aplon to follow

Sharks scrumhalf Charl McLeod has signed a two-year deal with Grenoble.

The 30-year-old, capped once by the Springboks, could be joined by Stormers back Gio Aplon.

'We are simply awaiting him [Aplon] to send back a signed letter confirming his departure [from the Stormers],' the club said.

Grenoble are currently sixth on the Top 14 log.

Happy he can finally move on. Flashy player, but not consistent enough for the level of the current Sharks team.

I am happy for Gio, an underappreciated player now looking to cash in, after a very long devoting career in the cape, first as a 7's player and then as a 15's player.

As for Mcleod, good to see him go, now Reinach can finally be the only number 1 scrumhalf for the Sharks and hopefully get a bok call-up
