Mannin (Isle of Man) is now a Crown Dependency of the UK, and players from Mannin are eligible for England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland national teams.
Phil Cringle plays for Scotland.

However, I want to see Mannin's national teams in RU, RL, Football, Hockey, Cricket, Netball, etc. (Although there is no RL club in Mannin)

And I think that Mannin should become a constituent nation of the UK (or United Republic of Britain and Mannin...I am a Republican, and supporter of Irish reunification).

Uh oh...

An island with a population of 84,000 and only six teams is perhaps not best placed to play international rugby. I mean Gibraltar has a team, with a domestic league of four teams, but when do you ever hear of their famous victories or scintillating brand of rugby?

Also, I don't know what time it is where you are but isn't it a little bit early in the day to be talking about Irish unification? Especially when it isn't that relevant to your point.

I am an ex Isle of Man International having played for the Isle fo Man team many years ago...........even if it was against third teams from clubs in the North of England.

There is a strong playing culture in the IOM but not perhaps to the same level as Jersey as far as I am aware and the whole argument in unnecessary...says one Manxman!

Is it possible to establish a single Mannin club to play in England?

In Football, the Shetland FA wants to join the Highland League as a single team (although not yet approved).

In Cricket, Bermuda (whose population is only 70,000) qualified for the 2007 World Cup.
In Football, Føroyar or the Faroes (whose population is only 40,000) have their own national team and the people are happy about supporting their own team. Although I advocate an establishment of a Federal Republic of Ãsland (Iceland) and Føroyar.

Why?..........everyone that I know in the various rugby clubs in the Island are very happy to be in their rugby clubs and have never even thought about, n'er mind discussed, any sort of a merger!

Douglas RUFC and Vagabonds RUFC both play in UK based leagues (South Lanc/Cheshire) and, I understand, are financially supported in this by the RFU.

You know, some people are actually happy the way they are and do not need "deep thinkers" like you interfering in things you know little about.............

PS Incidentally it is the "Isle of Man" or "Mann" (see Wikepedia)...............although the word "Mannin" is used in the Manx Language, 99% of the people would not know what you are talking about and like me thought you were talking about a Guest House with that name in the Isle of Man!!

Can we ban this ****ing guy...

No. sige is harmless, and has frankly brought some amusement to the forum in the past, My only issue is with him starting a couple of threads with ideas very similar to ones he's already posted and to a lesser degree his obsession with the 2019 RWC being moved from Japan which is hardly ban worthy.

In fact through a salient point, I've actually learned a crap load about Isle of Man rugby in this thread from Tony (and Tony is a former Manx International....that's awesome :D)

Seriously talking, it is impossible to have a World Cup in Japan. The real situation will become clearer and clearer in the next few years. The IOC made a crazy decision of having the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo, but I am quite sure that it will be cancelled.

Japan is really dangerous!

Actually Gibraltar wanted a national rugby team but their wish was recently denied by a FIRA-AER majority after heavy lobbying by Spain.
