PUTRAJAYA 14 Jan 2011 â€" RUGBY TALENT SEARCH PROGRAM in the format of 15 team league started last Sunday with the participation of 13 clubs consisting of four invitational Majlis Sukan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (MSAT) clubs, four private institute of higher learning (IPTS) clubs as well as affiliate clubs of the Persatuan Rugby Putrajaya (PRP)

The Perbadanan Putrajaya Presint 5 rugby field is fully operational as a result of excellent cooperation and team work among Majlis Sukan Putrajaya, Perbadanan Putrajaya, Kementerian Wilayah Persekutuan dan Kesejahteraan Bandar and Gilbert South East Asia (Kuckreja Sdn Bhd). This official venue was swamped by families, children, rugby players as well as spectators from within and outside of Putrajaya since early morning on Sunday.

Elite Division - Group B: ASAS Fighters (red) vs Royal Stern (blue)


The Elite Division (Divisyen Elit) consisting of Sikamat Gunners Junior, RMAF Blackhawks Junior, ASAS Fighters, ATM JLJ (Junior), Scorpion Putrajaya Junior, Black Wings, Royal Stern and Jenoba RC play every Sunday. They play 4 series of consecutive matches a day at the Perbadanan Putrajaya Presint 5 rugby field: 9.00 am, 10.30 am, 3.00 pm and 5.00 pm.

The Premier Division (Divisyen Perdana) lined by MIAT Falcons, Raccoon RC, MMU Vipers, CUCMS and Kajang RC will be playing at the Padang Pavilion Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah Putrajaya starting this Saturday. They will play 2 series of matches a day: 3.00 pm and 5:00 pm.
RMAF Blackhawk Junior dominated the first week by thrashing Black Wings (67-00) followed closely by ATM JLJ, which crushed Scorpion Putrajaya Junior (56-00). The match between ASAS Fighters and Royal Stern was won by ASAS Fighters (42-7) while Sikamat Gunners, the defending champion of Now Everyone Can Try, easily cruise to the second match after a walk over win (20-00) against Jenoba.
