Former Chiefs lock Toby Lynn has signed a two-year deal with the Western Force.

Surely these guys could aim a little higher.. Lynn, Fairbrother, Ripia. Not exactly awe inspiring.

I thought this was Kenny Lynn and I was gonna flip out! :p

Yeah, he's half decent for Waikato, but not exactly Super Rugby material... That being said he has played before.

His rating in Rugby 08 is 50 :p

more easy wins for your Reds Woldog, wish the Blues got to play the Force twice.

I hope we get the Reds in the Playoffs, easy win with our best players back.

Who influenced your comedy style?

Still at least you're more fun to verbally Joust with than that Hirgaran fellow.

Reds vs Force: 21-20
Force vs Blues: 22-22

Really?

Anyway, not sure why we needed another lock. Sam Wykes has had an amazing season and obviously Nathan Sharpe is a key player in our forward pack. Maybe they are trying to convince O'Connor to stay by adding more depth to the forwards :|

While Toby Lynn is a pretty average player (he's not ranked in the top 5 locks in the Chiefs regions), he is probably an ok signing for the Force, as they have only really used two locks this year (Wykes and Sharpe). I thought Tom Hockings looked pretty promising a few years ago, but seems to have completely faded in recent years.

Lynn is not a bad player and has the potential to be alot better because he does have the ability to come up with some great plays and he's very physical when he wants to be. his problem has been consistancy and he also seems like he's been a bit prone to going a bit over the top in the Gym and getting injured pushing tin.

If he can knock that on the head and sure his defence up he will be a worthy squad member.
