Hurrah!

Edit. Oh god, it's doing that 'splitting my quotes into two' thing again! What's up with it doing that?

I wish they would just ditch this joke of a tournament.

Either that or just call it a reserve team tournament.

Well, to be fair to LV, they have been good to TRF, donating tickets to competitions.
I actually don't mind it, as I get to see some young players in action.

That's because hardly anybody actually wants to go to the crap competition. The last Ospreys match at the Liberty Stadium in this tournament got little over 2,000.

Figures were doubled when they moved to Bridgend for these matches and just under 5,000 would watch. But somebody has decided to move back to the Liberty Stadium again for these LV Cup matches. No idea why.

It just wastes time and clutters up the schedule. They should just call it a reserves tournament and play it alongside the actual teams play.

Romania's prop Paulica Ion said he couldn't play for Romania "to avoid issues with his club", I really hope that means London Welsh haven't told him that they want him to play in two LV Cup matches instead of two matches for Romania.

Missed this first time round, what happened?

Ospreys going to kick off soon, Blues already underway at CAP.

Nigel Davies' (Gloucester head coach) son is on the bench for the Ospreys.
Sam Davies, an outside half, was part of the Welsh U20 squad this season.

Poor match, except for Nipper.
Two out of three drop goal attempts, and pushing Gloucester players off constantly. Certainly showing he can be physical, definitely a maturing player.

It's happened to a couple of my replies in different threads (can't remember the other one now). Basically, I copied the information in the quote, pasted it in a new reply and applied quotation brackets around it. Once I hit the submit button, for some reason it's added another set of quotation brackets around just the '15 Ross Jones' part. Editing my post and deleting the extra quotation brackets doesn't do anything, because the quotation brackets magically re-appear. In the other thread, it was a direct quote using the 'reply with quote' button (I remember it was one of Feics posts). All very weird.

Hmm, take a screenshot if it happens again and post it in the forum help.

Nigel Davies must be having some big mixed feelings. His son has come on for the Ospreys and has made a good start, slotting a penalty and supplying a try scoring pass.

Habberfield is such a prospect. He's a lovely balanced scrum half, bosses his forwards, a great pass and well placed box kicks.

Edit. Ross Jones also having a good match. Big fan of his as well and would like to see him some more in the Ospreys first team.

Further edit: is Sam Lewis, Ben Lewis' brother?

Fair play, that is a response from the Ospreys. Lovely break by Habberfield from the lineout, then great work from Allen and the rest of the forward to get over the line.

Second half was decent then. Great power from the Ospreys, good response to the penalty try.
Not a great match on the whole, but some positive performances from Ospreys' players.

So I heard the Blues actually won a game... pity its in a meaningless, though useful (developmental wise) tournament...
Ad yes Dull, Sam Lewis is Ben Lewis's brother. I remember when Ben Lewis was tipped as the next big prospect in Welsh rugby and tipped as Martyn Williams's successor... pity he had to retire so young, imagine if he'd developed into a class international back rower, we'd have 3 cracking options between him Warburton and Tipuric.

Worcs v Scarlets should be a high scoring game tomorrow, though cant see the Scarlets getting witihin 10pts with that side

Would Tipuric have developed at the Ospreys had Lewis not been injured?

Tipuric developed with Marty Holah in front of him, so it could have certainly happened.

But I am fairly sure that it was down to Lewis injury that allowed Tipuric to come through.
