Giant Samoan international back-rower Jonny Faamatuainu is poised to be Llanelli Scarlets' first signing of the summer, BBC Sport understands.
The 26-year-old is to leave Bath after four years after struggling to hold down a first-team place at The Rec.
Bath have also signed England flanker Lewis Moody so Faamatuainu is set to join the Scarlets as back-up for shoulder injury-victim Dafydd Jones.
The 11-cap Samoan can also cover at lock where the Scarlets have struggled.
