Even following the 6N this question has if anything become even more complicated. Following the first game of the tournament, it seemed that BOD had put himself in a position to lead the Lions down under. His inspiring performance against Wales showed his hunger and experience is second to none. However as the 6N progressed BOD's fitness came under question and his performance have been undeniably inconsistent (although much of that is to do with the poor performances of the entire Irish team). As England began to take advantage, Robshaw certainly grew into a position where many would select him as Lions captain. He's a solid player with a good work rate and when on top unquestionably leads from the front. However his decision making is still below par and the position of 7 is one that is hotly contested. There is certainly no guarantee that he will make the test squads. While the Welsh team has progressed this tournament, the captaincy within the squad remains unsettled. I can't see any standout captain within the Welsh team that is a definite Lions test starter.
Id like to see what people think about the possibility of Sexton as captain.... Is that a possible risk that could pay off?
