Just heard Lancaster Park might be out of action for a year! that will give the Canterbury Team nowhere to play.

I say we give them Carisbrook (after the fobar opens), get Kiwi Rail to put on some trains for chch fan to come down and make it as much like a home ground as possible...HELL, is there anyway to off load the trains behind the brook.

By no means the prefect option for them but it could work, would also do wonders for Dunners with two games on on the same day, the place would be heaving!

thought i would add to this (even though it is an old thread)

AMI Stadium looks to be out of action for the 2012 season. No more rugby there for a while. The Hadlee stand will need to be demolished by the sound of it (which is good cause it didnt fit with the rest of the stadium, so they can redo that) and the rest of the stadium looks like there are massive repairs and strenghtinging to be done as well.

I wonder what CRFU is going to do now. They cant use Rugby Park for Super games because it just isnt big enough. I heard they were looking at Rugby League park which is marginally bigger but needs to be repaired also. and Canterbury League probably wont like them using it since they own it.

lots to think about really.
