I find it hard to beleive that with 5teams in this competition that no free to air tv stations could not show even a highlights package of any games this season.I wish that i could afford payed tv but such is life.I believe not only myself but also the many up and coming juniors from u/6 to u18 miss out on seeing them and then playing out their heros because they only set them playing for their country. If by chance a highlight package or one australian team game a week could be shown there would be a greater exposure of all the players and the rules thus giving the game back to the grass roots areas, in turn it would be rugby for all.

I have to say that I have never bought into this idea of people not being able to afford paid TV for sport while they spend two weekends a month down the club or the pub. If it's not the pub or the club there are other things that money is wasted on that could be spent on a pay tv subscription. All it costs is one night out a month less and minute for minute the pay tv sub is way better value.

I FULLY appreciate that some people are really struggling but you are either a real fan who finds a way or your not a real fan. Simple. It comes down to priorities.

I'm guessing you're rolling in it. I'd prioritise plenty of other stuff (such as food and shelter) over one tournament.

It's more foxsports.

its just the target market thing most Union fans went/go to private school's and can afford foxtell

Nine showed Super Rugby Extra Time (A Fox Sports Highlights show) every week of the tournament on 12am Tuesdays(/Monday nights).

I think the ARU (like most sporting bodies) want to grow the sport and the TV ratings for the 2003 world cup (and other FTA Rugby broadcasts around that time) show that there is huge potential.

That is ridiculous. Folole Muliaga, an Auckland women, died after her power was cut when she did not pay her bill. This caused a national outrage but one of the interesting things was that her family had sky. The number of people who currently prioritize paid television before rent, power and food is shocking.

thanks for all your responses, but I was trying to get free to air to realise that there are a lot of kids and parents who only get to see their rugby heros in the national team. Sadly I have to say that on longer do they see them in super 15 and sparingly at club level so for these kid who we all know love their rugby it would be fantastic if we as agroup could get some upper level rugby on free to air so all our children make beleive they playing in the backyard as one of their rugby heros.Again this is giving rugby back to to everyone, well off or not so well off
