Ireland v South Africa - 22/11/2025

I love scrums, the dominant team should absolutely get something out of it. But how does this attract anyone to the game?
I don’t think it does. But this isn’t an SA issue here. Honestly this is kind of unacceptable from an Irish perspective that they are so poor at the scrum. These penalties are coming so fast. 2-3 seconds in, because it’s blatant at how poor Ireland are

This SA team really have channelled 2003 England...

I don't put any blame on SA playing to their strength. Ireland have one second row on the pitch.

I do think refs don't have a clue and neither do WR.

SA are just better at it than anyone. Unless they change the laws it's not going to change. If my team had there scrum I'd be spitting feathers if they changed the laws.
I honestly still worry if there is a fully professional game in 20 years with the finances across many nations. I feel rugby is heading backwards in terms of viewership and so if it stops boring games like this then absolutely it should be changed. Maybe S.A will regret it when they can't keep sending players abroad to earn a living.

RUgby has been bypassed by many other sports in global markets, and its absolutely down to World Rugby making the game overly complex.

Its all due to safety, all this mess. Spent 50 years making players bigger, stronger, quicker, more powerfull, then tried to stop them hitting each other...

South africans went to ground straight away on the last 2. Nothing to see here ref resets. Two tier reffing tonight
