A few things 1.For one the Super 12 has always competed directly against NRL, always has always will.......... Thats why Super 12 starts February and ends April. NRL Starts late March finishes in september a full season not a half arsed attempt at a **** poor money driven competiton 3-4 weeks they are on at the same time hardly competing champ. Whereas OOOOHHHH SHOCK SHOCK the Club Rugby competitons start in March/April and goes to Octopber/September, thats more like it mate. ME- 1 You-0 2.WRONG! This needs to be put out of your thick head. READ: Rugby Union has more levels of competition then rugby league, therefore in the lower levels you can not compare a New Zealand NPC team with a NRL club side. League players don't change codes to play NPC or for Aussie club sides, they change to play Super 12, and from there International rugby. Of course League players don't change to play club rugby because it is **** and they are bought by the ARU to play for their Wallabies, No good League player goes over to play Super 12 mate only for the Wallabies but they do end up playing Club Rugby e.g. Matty Rogers plays for Southern Districts down here. Even though club Rugby is **** doesnt mean they are not comparable. Newsflash mate there is more elite levels of League than Union and a higher skill base because we care about our club systems Harold Matthews, SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, Premier League, Jim Beam Cup,QLD Cup, CRL Groups and then NRL and all these teams dominater the shot out of anything Rugby Union has to throw at them you would have thought the 2-300 years headstart Union had, things would have been different. ME 2- You-0 3.Along with International league tests, state of origin is the highest level of competition in the code (rated even higher then International league by most). To compare fairly you then compare it to the highest level of competition in rugby union - ie. International test footy (still with me???) You are talking about level of play I am talking of how it is. Its how it is mate live with it. ME-3 YOU-0 4.Warriors, storm, Raiders and Brisbane broncos are practically "state/city" sides under the guise of "club" HAHA. Warriors represent Auckland just like its NPC equivalent whereas the Blues are a "Franchise" run off the NPC side. Raiders represent Canberra a city of 300,000 people. There are more than that in the St George area Canberra mate isn't very big. Brisbane a state team? Heard of North Qld Cowboys mate. Ignorant fool. ME-4 You-0 5.However the lamest part of your post is the end where you basically say 90 odd years hasn't been enough time for league to grow in popularity..........give me a break.......and how it is "making huge progress in other parts of the world" - where exactly again???? Singapore USA Ireland, Scotland France Fiji PNG Canada Lebanon Moldova South Africa Russia Malta Enough??? Sure it's not as big as Union but that 2-300 year start really did seem to help. Me-5 You-0!
