I know most people wont have heard of this dude before.
But he's about to make his debut start for the USA against Russia which means that he is eligible for a visa which will allow Saracens to sign him.

I fancy myself as having quite a good eye for talent and my spidey-senses are tingling, so I'm putting this here now as evidence of that when this guy comes good in a couple of years time.

Thank you for your time.

I know about him. Worcester were due to sign him to their academy but Saracens nicked the deal.

Early days of course, I saw him play in the ARC and he made a couple big hits and he's had a couple late replacements for the full national side. USA have a really terrible scrum so it's hard to judge him there yet and I'd imagine the haplessness of some of their props is why he has been fast tracked at such a very rare age for a prop to be playing for the full adult side.

Yarp, would have been interesting to see him actually go with Wuss simply because of their track record.

I'm not a big Sarries fan, but you can't deny they produce a lot of very effective forwards.
So it will be interesting to see what becomes of him.

He is a bit raw as a scrummager right now but he is quite athletic and I think his wrestling background will help him a lot in the scrum. He's only been playing rugby for 3 years and I believe most of that time he has been a number 8 so he's got a lot of room to develop.

BTW, gonna pat myself on the back for IDing him a year and a half ago:

Apparently he has a background in a number of sports. http://tjcotterillphotography.wordp...-sehome-junior-a-standout-for-usa-u-19-rugby/

Now a junior at Sehome, Lamositele is a four-sport athlete. Yes, four-sport. The 6-foot, 255-pount tailback was one of the top running backs in the Northwest Conference before almost reaching the Class 2A State Tournament in his first year wrestling (after playing basketball for Sehome the previous three years) and made it to the Class 2A State Championships in shot put for the track and field team. Then there is the fourth sport – rugby – which Lamositele has played year round, including a weeklong trip in February with the USA team to England.

Watching his first start in the Russia game he has a way to go at the scrum. He came off second best against one of the weakest scrums in the top 20. He is only 18 of course, but it would suggest he's still a couple years from being a first choice prop for the USA.

Yeah, he was not very good against a weak Russian scrum. He seemed to do quite a bit better as a sub against the Canadians in August and in the ARC against Diaz (I think) last month. I think he'll end up being a decent scrummager, especially as he's barely played the position much and he's so young.

He's 18 though... lol

I know that international props are getting younger, but the best scrummagers are all at least 25.
