Huge respect to the disciplined sportsmen of Proper Rugby Players, but the TMO?

It is impressive to watch the players respect eachother and the decisions made by others that control the game. Even as the adrenaline courses through their bodies, they instinctively realise that the game is bigger than their opinion.

In the light of some very interesting decisions now being made with the sensible use of TMO and a great deal of considered observation; I have a question, because I don't know the answer.

When Vinipola's hand was clearly under the ball before, during and after Healy touched it down for Irelands first try; was this considered in the decision to award? If so, what rule had been infringed to ignore his hand obstructing the touchdown, please?

I understand the term "In the spirit of the play", so this is an enquiry, not a complaint!

I just need to explain the outcome to my two nephews, who are both keen players, but also have seen this on playback..

Thank you.
