The dates of the tournaments of 2012 HSBC Asian Sevens Series just been finally formalized. Like last year, Borneo and Shanghai will be the stages of the 2012 edition. The event tends to popularize years after years. It must be said that the Rugby 7s is growing rapidly in Asia (including China and the Philippines) and retains more and more lovers of rugby in Asia. Again this year, Japan will be the favorite. The tournament in Singapore, the last stage of SSA in 2012, will be of utmost importance for Japanese and other Asian nations, as it will be a qualifier for the World Cup Rugby 7s of 2013 to be held in Moscow, Russia. In other words, Wataru Murata, Japanese coach, should bring the best team possible, without Yoshikazu Fujita unfortunately, that should not have recovered from his serious injury at the moment yet. Japan, China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Thailand are among the ten teams participating in the entire tournament of the 2012 edition of HSBC Asian Sevens Series in 2012. Asian small event, Afghans make their first step in an international tournament in the tournament in Mumbai, in October!

Here are the dates of the stages of HSBC Asian Sevens Series 2012:

August 31-September 2: Tournament of Borneo (Malaysia)

September 22-23: Tournament of Shanghai (China)

October 13-14: Tournament of Mumbai (India)

November 02-03: Tournament of Singapore

Should note that the first three tournaments results play a direct part in seeding for the final/RWCQ tournament in Singapore. (Results/series points will determine the seeding). Japan, China, Philippines, and Korea were the Top 4 in last season's series.
