Hey all the guys on PS3 lets all meet in home for a laugh and see how good looking we think we are, or in GG's case he can finally come out the closet and be a big girl until his hearts content :D[/b]

lol :bravo:
[/b][/quote]
Haha...well you might be chatting me up not knowing the girl is me...

You reckon the GG name above your head might give you a way lol. One thing you can rest assured big guy is I cant think of anything more sad or boring than trying to chat up a girl avatar.

Lol...well I only go on Home with my GFs account....it has debbieb98 or something as the name. Also you might be very taken by the girl I created lol! You are right though....amazing how many guys see the girl I have created and think that she is a true representation of the person behind the console. For starters....there are only a few real girls on psn home and out of those I am pretty sure it would be rare for any of them to spend hours fiddling with the face creator trying to get the perfect look.

In truth I still have not created my perfect girl.....I would lean towards Kate Beckinsale's natural look...like how she looks in that movie with Adam Sandler. The girl I created ended up looking like the girl of Species except she has blue hair.

I've been playing a variation on this "Home" thing for years. I call it "My house".

In "My House", what I've had to do over the last 5 years is save up a lot of money and buy things such as a sofa, a bed, furnature, a PC, a TV. It's great when I'm in "My House", I can do all these things like redecorating, play my games, surf the net, watch TV, (OMFG) chat up a girl, sleep, cook, entertain friends and generally hang out.

It's awesome.

home is crap i reckon
it has potential but right now its just balls, and takes forever to load

from what I have heard thats because there is basically nothing there and its basically just kids going around saying stuff and laughing at people. I think sony were under a lot of pressure to release home before 2008 was out even if they meant putting it out kind of not totally finished. the new box epxerience also I think definitely forced sony's hand to get home released in whatever state they could. home I think is right in the middle of where sony did not want it to be. they wanted home to launch with a bang not a weak whimper and have people talking about how awesome home is and the features it does have instead all the talk is the potenial home could be and I think definitely a couple months behind of where sony would have prefered to launch it. Once home is complete it could be quite good but again that is probably a couple months sony would like to have not wasted with home out in the wild.

I think they knew it would suck balls but could not hold out any longer without losing face. They really undertook a massive project on this one looking way into the future( A bit like the console) and have left many people dead in their tracks.

In the future if this holds up it could be potentially great with alot of features etc. It is not as if you need to be in Home to check your friends list start games etc. so it really does not bother me at all.

I could see all developers getting on board and developing their own spaces such as EA are doing and when this happens it could take off. They will then start to compete against each other to be the prime space within Home.

Where does all this "future proof" about the PS3 that you so often say come from? You are aware that it's notthat much more powerful then a 360 and a PS4 will already be in development? Non?

The PS3 has around 4 years of life left in it. Then it will be put on the top shelf/back of the wardrobe and remain forever, unloved. There's no such thing as a future proof console.;

Easy Teh Mite no slite on your beloved Xbox big guy. Home will not end when the PS3 dies but will be available on the PS4 as well. If you read my post I also stated that if Home lasts as it might get canned in the future if it does not work out but you can't deny it is a massive project they undertook.

I have not stated that it is "Future Proof" as nothing is in this day and age. Stating that it is not more powerfull than an Xbox is wrong as everyone stated that it is way more powerfull. The problem was they did not have the developers in mind making it tough to develope for in the beginning. that is not the case anymore as they have all got to grips with it now and pretty much all multi-plat ***les are identical.

I have both and think they both are very good but the only issue I have is the reliability of the Xbox as this is my 3rd repair. the Xbox Live integration across all games is better than Sony but not enough for me to hate on PSN as it does enough for what I need and is free.

Teh being a fanboy is no prob bud but don't be put off the PS3 as it has alot to offer just like Xbox360.

I am indeed a fanboy... A Saturn and Dreamcast fanboy.

However those days are long since passed and I think I can look at game a bit more objectively.... Otherwise, why would I so venimously slate Gears of War as over-rated horsehite so much? Surely no Xbox fanboy would ever say such a thing.

So please retract that statement of "Teh being a fanboy". I'm clearly not.

And for the record, you have gone on how the PS3 is "future proof" in the past few months.

I have not stated that it is "future proof" but has features that will stand it in good stead. I retract the statement that you are a Fanboy and replace it with you just hate all things that are PS3 :D

AAAHHHH now I know why the hate for Sony they did not kill your Saturn or Dreamcast I promise lol.

The Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast were truly beautiful machines...I loved them!

I loved the Nintendo 64 over the PS1

I loved the xbox over the PS2 and still do.

I prefer by a long shot the PS3 over the 360.

Basically I follow the better machine as there will at least be ONE decent game on it. The only time I play an inferior machine is when they have a game that has captured my imagination and it cannot be found on better platforms. For me JLR on PS1 held its own when the 64 turned up. Goldeneye on the 64 held its own during the Saturn and Dreamcast era. Timesplitters kept taking me back to PS2 when Xbox arrived. Rugby 06 STILL to this day keeps taking me back to the original Xbox after both the 360 and the PS3 sweeps the market.

Anyway back on topic.

I see PSN HOME lasting a very long time. It should carry on into PS4....PS5 etc and grow more and more into something we can't even begin to imagine at the moment.

lol i am the exact opposite from GG.
PS1
PS2
X360

it is an example of my impatience - they all came out 1st.

I liked the PS1 and N64 equally as they both had great games at different periods of their existence but the PS1 probably pips it at the post only because of how great Metal Gear Solid and the Final Fantasy games are. But for pure multiplayer fun you couldn't beat Goldeneye and Mario Kart on the N64.

I prefered the PS2 and still do a bit if only for the Guitar hero games and RL1 plus an unfinished copy of God of War 2. Only got an Xbox for its special features.

PS3 beats out 360 because it has free online, is a DVD/Blu ray player, a multimedia device and I don't have to worry about when it will have to be fixed.

Lol yeah those were the days!!!!!!!!!

The first time I saw a PS1 where it was some fighting game I was just simply amazed!

The first time I saw N64 it was Goldeneye and I was blown away!

The first time I saw PS2 it was Madden and I could not stop staring at the eyes of the players...they were blinking.
