Hi everyone. My name is Victoria, I'm originally from Massey, Auckland but I've been in the United States for a few years studying. (No long term plans on going back home or staying here, I really don't know).

I also enjoy watching cricket and Formula 1.

Hi Victoria, fellow kiwi here. Welcome and hope you enjoy the Forums. What made you want to try out TRF? By the way there are plenty of us on the forum that enjoy talking about cricket as well as rugby, so I'm sure you'll have plenty to talk about. :)

Well, ever since I came to America in 2008, I finally got a broadband connection and discovered just everything I could do on the internet. This is actually the first time I've found a rugby community that looked good, despite it being my favorite sport (I've been part of other places, right now I go to a motoring/F1 place and a cricket place). I actually found this place while searching for information on EA Rugby 2012 (I play the 2008 version) and stumbled across the Wikipedia page for this place.

High-Five to Wikipedia. Welcome to the forum.

Hello from a fellow Kiwi just up the road a bit :D ... aside from the All Blacks, which teams do you support?

Edit:- Just re-read your original post, I guess you'd support the Blues and Auckland, coming from Auckland. Do you support the local sides?

Very cool, it's a lot of fun finding different sites to chat on and discuss similar interests. More often than not this is a really good place to discuss Rugby, Rugby Gaming and all sorts of world sports. We tend to also have fun and interesting discussions on movies, music and just general current events etc, in our Off Topic section (sometimes can get the odd controversial subject there, lol).

Good to hear your into Rugby '08, it's always good to hear of girls who are into Rugby gaming, it's a change of pace to hear the female perspective on how those games play. Do you play it on console or PC? How much do you play? Once the two new Rugby games are released in a few months there'll be a few of us staging fun tournaments on here. There's a good fella called best fullback who's been doing something along those lines.

Anyhow, feel free to have a check around some of the other forums, there's no doubt some great threads to have a read through and maybe post in. :)

But of course. I'm very lucky in that last year's ITM Cup was shown on a television channel here. When I'm at home my dad takes the family to almost any and all Auckland, Blues, and All Blacks fixtures at Eden Park.

I play for PC, not overly frequently (for playing games I tend to prefer playing my cricket game) but a couple games a week at least. I recently got good enough at it to the point where I could win almost all the time playing as New Zealand on the hardest difficulty setting, so I tried taking on a new challenge and playing as my adopted country (United States) at the RWC.

However, I got extremely frustrated with that, since with an overall rating of 47, it seems to be exaggerated just how bad they are. Losing almost every lineout to random chance, losing the ball in the ruck half the time and about half my perfectly-lined-up tackles getting missed makes the game unrealistic and unplayable. Not to mention that the USA players are incredibly slow (no breaking through the line to score a try, I'll just run 20m and get caught from behind) and can't kick a drop goal from the 22, which is again unrealistic and stupid.

Hi, from a Welshman stuck in NZ. Thankfully we have broadband connection here and the sheep aren't as pretty as they are back in Wales...you must really be missing those fluffy little ********.
I know i am.
Where in America are you living?

I'm attending Arizona State University. It's in the Phoenix area, basically, in Arizona.
