Although Sale are bottom in the Premiership not an easy task for Montpellier and we are running out of props lost another 2 this week Nems for the rest of the season till around August knee ligaments (operation) and Chippie Figallo disc problem and out for anything from 5-8 weeks they add to the list of Jgenti, Kervarec we only have 4 left Bustos, Nariarashvili, Faamausilli, and Pelo who has not shown for ages and Rassie Van Vuuren hooker who can play prop in emergencies

Very much a 2nd string Sale side being put out including:
A hooker at prop (Croall came to us as a hooker who could play prop, but has been used only as a hooker for the past year or so, including his loan back to Quins), a number 8 making his debut, a number 6 who has about 80-120 mins of 1st team rugby under his belt, and a centre partnership of two wingers who have never played together there (Jennings is, technically, a centre but has played the vast majority of his pro rugby at wing, and Cueto has played only a handful of times in the centre).

Having said that it's a decent enough side - not expecting a win but looking forward to seeing what they can do if they get any decent ball as there's a lot of talent in the side. Getting the decent ball will be the hard task though!

It's not being televised anywhere, unfortunately.

I always thought that all HEC games were on TV somewhere, but apparently not :(

I was going to say the Sky Sports Events Centre (Best thing ever) will have it as they claim to have every Heineken cup match live...but then I looked - you're right :s

Brilliant bonus point victory by Montpellier now sitting pretty with 18 pts and Toulon to come to Montpellier next week looks good for a 2nd best qualifier in the H Cup or at worst a 1/4 final away game in the Amlin well done boys.......

HaHAhAhA...brilliant win Ha Ha ah aha....best laugh I have had in years Gaston!!! Only question was how many................enjoy the Amlin!!!

As a wise or i thought wise enough person Tony you should know "He who laughs last laughs longest", and you have already laughed!!!! and have a very short memory i do remember someone singing the praises of the Amlin when it was the only way possible for Biarritz to qualify for this seasons H Cup as they were not good enough to get into the play-offs which Montpelier did participate by finishing 5th....
I REST MY CASE!!!!!!!!

Not arguing the case that you deserve to be where you are just that you felt anything less than 50 points past the Sale seconds was a "brilliant win"!!!

Take the silverware where you can get it I say, and we did alhough not sure how.........the Amlin was arguably the worst thing that happened for the club in the long term but great for the moment!!

Good luck against Toulon but do feel you now have reached your total points in this H Cup as Toulon need to win well to make sure of home venue!

Considering Montpellier have been a shadow of themselves away from home this season, a bonus point win away and now likely spot in the H Cup quarter finals as best second place is a good result for them.

It was a win that should have been as expected but hardly a "brilliant win"!

For a team on the up such MHL they should set their sights higher for a brilliant win than beating Sale seconds.....

Anyway, it is always good to have a squabble with Gaston....been doing it for years!!

Winning is not important as long as you Win !!!!!
not quite H Cup 1/4 finalists just yet but a win next week against Toulon will secure that problem. We are doing a comp to win a BMW SCOOTER value 10,000â'¬ and when a scooter comes into play against Toulon (this is an old war wound that keeps popping up from Toulon bad scooter loosers) Montpellier has so far go the better on the day, long may it continue.

Good luck with the scooter Gaston...If you win, it will be interesting to see your wife riding, with you on pillion having had too many beers after celebrating winning, the 55 kms back to St Jean de Crieulon in the dark!!!

not allowed my friend, Staff and club officials may not enter !!! you mentioned celebrating with beer, of course we do but at least we do that reasonably often whereas you my friend do not have that many occasions BOOM BOOM !!!!!!!

Can't remember the last....Oh yes the night we won the Amlin Cup and managed qualifying for this year's H Cup for the how many times!!

Just history now old chap, what's this Gaston Baiting on Monday morning!!! no gardening or housework to do !!!!!!

Just moved house...and wife away so no whip being cracked!!
