Stade Yves-du-Manoir - 15/12/2012 - 19:00

More or less a full squad all back from either injury, holidays, or suspension, but we do have Mamuka Gorgodze and Drikus Hancke at the disiplinary commision today after serious handbags, match v Bayonne, especially Mamuka so they will get at least 2 weeks if not more.Hopefully Cardiff will give us a bit more of a match this time, but with their position not good in Rabobank they could well send some of the younsters /academy players.

I think you will see a very similar Cardiff side to what you faced in Cardiff. Perhaps Sam Warburton might come back from illness, but other than that it'll be the same. Cardiff only have a small group of 'quality' players left, most of which are injured.

As I mentioned in the previous game, Cardiff's pack are getting dominated at the breakdown, its getting destroyed in the scrum and the lineout isn't a strength. To be honest, even when they have the ball the centres aren't creative enough, although they look more organised with Sweeny/Patchell. Without Penny and Cuthbert Cardiff are as toothless as a baby.

If Montpellier play their first team they should be looking for nothing less than a bonus point win.

Montpellier: Martin Bustos Moyano, Timoci Nagusa, Matt Carraro, Paul Bosch, Yoan Audrin, Santiago Fernandez, Julien Tomas, Yvan Watremez, Rassie van Vuuren, Juan Figallo, Mickael Demarco, Aliki Fakate, Alexandre Bias, Kelian Galletier, Johnnie Beattie

Replacements: Mickael Ladhuie, Na'ama Leleimalefaga, Barry Fa'amausili, Thibaut Privat, Fulgence Ouedraogo, Eric Escande, Shontayne Hape, Benjamin Thiery

Cardiff Blues: Jason Tovey, Alex Cuthbert, Gavin Evans, Dafydd Hewitt, Harry Robinson, Rhys Patchell, Lewis Jones; Taufa'ao Filise, Rhys Williams, Benoit Bourrust, Lou Reed, James Down, Josh Navidi, Sam Warburton, Andries Pretorius (c)

Replacements: Marc Breeze, Sam Hobbs, Scott Andrews, Macauley Cook, Robin Copeland, Rob Lewis, Gareth Davies, Owen Williams

Apparently I spoke to soon! 5 changes including a change of front row and Cuthbert and Warburton return to the team. I am surprised they are playing Cuthbert as Cardiff really need him fit for the big christmas games.

Still think Cardiff will be bullied in the front 5 and Montpellier will win comfortably.

I thought Cardiff, under the injuries they had, gave a good performance and that they did give an under strength MHL team a game for quite a lot of the game...........Hape going to get on at all?

Hape should get on in the second half probably replacing Carraro who has not had much game time recently, the weather fine and sunny this morning and should stay like that until tonight at least.
Well done BO for their 17-0 water polo win, the funniest was on the half way line when the ball went loose several players dived for it and sent a tidal wave towards the lovely Isabelle who was doing her normal, looking pretty, poor girl got drowned along with Bo staff and the new coach L R. No doubt she will be back to her best in the studio this afternoon but i will be at the MHR v Cardiff. The specialists were hinting last night that Ugo Mola ex Brive could be in for the BO coach position, i think Sergio is slowly coming to his senses, does not want a repeat of Beziers !!!!!

Very sad, my condolences to him and his family.

There was a minutes silence dedicated to Lou's father before the start of the H Cup Montpellier v Cardiff game, very sad indeed especially when you are not by his side.
Deepest condolences to Lou and his family.
