Nah. I think the SANZAAR alliance is more united than it was in the past, and there seems to be a unified effort in making the tournament better again. They tried something, tweaked it, tried something different, tweaked it, and then came to the conclusion that it just doesn't work and that more isn't always better. Reverting back to the round robin instead of the conference system is a step in the right direction. Something many of us in the SH have been begging for the past few years. did you guys see the article in the Sydney Morning Herald about the possible changes SANZAAR is looking into after 2021: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/broadcasters-push-radical-shake-up-of-super-rugby-rugby-championship-20190408-p51c1d.html Now some of these plans IMHO are great ideas, others like the Marquee players idea, I don't like that so much, but I understand the thinking behind it. It just seems to me that ever since Australia lost it's power at the helm of the group, there have been a more coherent discussion between the nations. They know they are under attack from other tournaments and that the financial part of keeping players are a daunting task. But SA Rugby has started their new contracts system, in an effort to keep more players in SA, and actually compete with the NH and Japan, and perhaps, the possibility is there that at some point the financial part would improve to such an extent that SANZAAR's nations would be able to pay the players the same amounts as the NH and Japan, and strengthen the SR squads and quality. Many tournaments go through a lull phase, and I think SR was already at it's lowest point and is already rebuilding and getting better.
