I actually saw this thread when I was thinking of starting one

Anyway, I cannot wait to kick some ass on it, hoping that many TRF'ers will participate in many a game.

If you're talking co-op, then you can count me in. I'm always up for working together as a team to achieve a common goal.

Alas, me and competitive gaming have never got on. I find the thought of shoving a shotgun up my rectum and pulling the trigger more fun than being endlessly trash talked into a coma by a racist homophobe. Tis why I usually only play games amongst friends. And friends is one thing I have in short supply.

i lost my fps skills back with the turok series and golden eye back on the n64..lost more interest with multiplaying with that garbage counter strike...

but halo 1 and 2 have been the best first person shooters ive played since..well..golden eye..part 3 solo game looks too good to be true..cant wait 4 it!

I also upgraded my Broadband Cable.

Can get up to 30mbps down and 1mbps up, so i should be safe from lag from any corner of the globe.

My mate gave me Halo2 to play. He had it for his xbox and i was playing it on my 360 and it was shite....especially after playing Gears of War.

Now being a newbie i'm not sure why the graphics were so god awful on Halo 2, but will Halo 3 be comparable (in graphics and gameplay) to G.O.W??

When I had the demo though, it looked superb.

Mate Halo 2 is an original X Box ***le...and you were playing it on a HD TV no doubt. Its a last generation game.

Getting my copy in about 7ish hours time from now, popping out at my lunch break to buy from choices video.

In other news, this game rucks my socks... I's even better then the original Halo!!!!!!!

Hmmm, after playing the campaign solo, i'd probably give it a 7 or 8 (provided I believed in applying arbitary numbers with little meaning to reviews). The story's nothing on the original Marathon trilogy. And the levels feel a bit like they've just taken the best bits from the first two ***les and formed a story around that. And, dare I say it, the game suffer's from abrupt-ending-itis again. BioShock is the still the superior ***le in my opinion.

That being said, I enjoyed what (little) I played. And i'd love to play it four-player co-op. Some of the better set-pieces would definately benefit with mates around. If any of you lot want to do it sometime, we need to talk.
