22 year old prop, Guillermo Roan, has become the latest young Argentine player to join the exodus to Europe to play professional rugby after he confirmed he has signed a two year contract to play for Aviva Premiership side, the London Wasps. Roan has played four times for Argentina for four victories. All matches were South American Championship fixtures - two games vs Chile and two vs Uruguay playing as a tighthead prop. He has also represented Los Jaguares (Argentina A), scoring tries of the likes of Romania, Italy A and Scotland A. Roan has also played for age group Argentina sides. He played at the 2007 IRB Junior World Championship for Argentina and at times has even used as a secondrower. Roan´s move to England underlines the positive future of Argentine rugby as more of the country´s future international players are increasingly involved in professional teams in Europe.

London Wasps won the English Premiership in 2008 and last won the Heineken Cup in 2004. Roan joins the club in a rebuilding phase after a disappointing season both in England and Europe.
