Gloucester v London Irish (Sat)

This is probably the most disrupted line up I have seen for Glaws for years. If we can get anything out of this game I will be amazed.A first start for Tuohy in the second row will not help our line outs confidence. This is going to be a real backs to the wall performance but im looking forward to it as at least our motivation must be high being underdogs at home for the first time for a couple of years. Glos to win by 3 points(???)

On Recent Performances by Glos, I would have to put my money on the exiles... they have a far better team than that of Glos in this game, however going to kingsholm is never an easy game...

After the England game this performance from a hugely depleted Gloucester team shows what can be achieved by a motivated group of players. This performance must rate as the best of the season against a really strong Irish side. The line out which has been our weakness all year finally came good with debutant Dan Tuohy playing out of his skin.If he can maintain that level of performance he could be there for good at the expense of Brown or Bortolami. Credit must also go to ***terell whosee throwing in looked far more confident than Azams has all season. The driving mauls produced by the forwards sucked the life out of the Irish Eight in the second half and they were reduced to having a go at the ref as their discipline let them down. All I hope for now is that some of the players that started yesterday that dont normally play will be rewarded for their commitment and performance with a starting berth in the next game. Overall a great win and credit to all involved including the coaching set up who must have worked so hard and turned things around so dramatically.
